Global Nomads of Mongolia, the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia, and the Embassy of Canada in Mongolia jointly organised the Democratic Resilience and Cyber Threats Conference on 8 June 2026.

Experts and academics from Canada, Germany, and Mongolia discussed democratic resilience, cyber threats, and the implications of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

Participants called for stronger coordination among public institutions, researchers, and civil society to address cyber threats, information manipulation, gendered political harm, and disruption enabled by AI. Advances in digital technology are reshaping political, economic, and security environments around the world, including in Mongolia.

The conference was supported through the Canadian Regional Engagement Initiative.
